In the olden days we used to take several weeks for the detection of any disease. But now-a- days it is easy to detect any disease in one or two days or few hours.
Rapid identification of diseases was done by using the molecular method analysis.
Pathogens or the infectious agents are the microorganisms that cause diseases or illness to the host and it as a potential to cause the disease. The Mycobacterium tuberculosis is the causative agent of the tuberculosis and also a facultative intracellular pathogen. The bacteria are thought to be in a state of reduced replication and metabolism as a part of causing the pulmonary infections and that was killed around 1.5 million people in 2014 worldwide.
Mycobacterial pathogens cause the lung diseases that can detected easily within few hours by using the molecular based methods.
One of the research group from the institute of medical microbiology were done a large scale study on more than 6,800 patient samples to examine the molecular based detection of micro bacterial pathogens and the researchers developed the algorithm to detect the mycobacterium from the patient sample by the genetic analysis.
The study was examined over three years continuously and compared the bacterial cultures for more than 3,000 patient samples.
Finally the results were found to be accurate as the culture based technique. By this technique within one or two days the patients came to know either they are suffering with infection of tuberculosis pathogens or non-tuberculosis mycobacterium.
